Creativity has no limit when it comes to smokey eyes, you can mix and match your favourite eyeshadow hues and every time you can create a unique look. In this look today, I have mixed my favourite orange and brown in a unique way to create that burnt orange-brown smokey hues on eyes and added on some gold dust to it for that festive binge. If you are not a fan of glitters you can totally skip that.
As I have used the golden dust here hence it was required to do the eye make up first before I do my entire face make up to avoid eyeshadow fallout on my foundation.
So in this look, I am starting with eyes. I did a little experiment here I have used MAC Pro Conceal And Correct Palette in MediumDeep as my creamy eyeshadow base (Trust me this one product is a must have in your kit for its multiple functions) and sealed it with my Urban Decay eyeshadows with respective colours. You can use any orange and brown as you desire.
- Use a brown shade with orange undertones for the transition.
- Go in with the Brown eyeshadow and apply it all over the lid.
- Dust some golden eyeshadow on the centre and inner corners of your eye.
Apply orange eyeshadow to the crease and outer part of your eye making sure it is soft and blended. Then apply a dark brown shadow from the centre to the outer crease of your eye but keeping it a little lower than the orange.
Now with a fluffy brush blend this out and keep repeating this step until you get it to how you want it. For beginners, I would really recommend the Real Techniques eyeshadow brushes.
Now we want to go onto the lower lash to bring the full look together. First, with the orange apply this to the lower lash line and then the brown directly onto the lash line. Make sure these colour just provide you with a shadow and don’t pop out very bright. Keep blending them for a synced effect. Now ditch your kajal and line your lower line with the same golden eyeshadow. If you want to avoid golden then use brown kajal instead of black for this look.
For correcting, concealing and bronzing I have used the same MAC Pro Conceal And Correct Palette in MediumDeep.
MAC Mineralize Blush Gentle
For my foundation and setting powder, I have used MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC 35
