While being in Europe I felt the need to tell the world that there is so much more to Indian Fashion than just Saree. So this festive season I decided to decode various Indian traditional and Fusion Wear Outfit ideas. I am planning to do 9 looks 9 days. Be a part of this journey of mine and Spread The Word.

Presenting today the last look of the series, Look #9 that is “Back to The Roots” as it is obvious from the name that this look is totally dedicated to the vintage charm of Indian Ethnic Wear. Creams and golden in contrast with deep red and maroons will always be my favourite combinations in Indian Ethnics. Banarsi sarees and silk kurtas are like evergreen Indian Fashion Ensembles from north to south and from east to west. Right!!! So today’s look is entirely dedicated to the Traditionals but still with some fusion touch.
Lehenga & Saree
This festive season, keep at least one attire with the combo of velvet and banarsi. Believe me you, this will be a 10 on 10 kinda perfect. You can always experiment with the draping style of dupatta. You can take it sideways or take it similar to a saree pallu. Lehenga sarees are not new in trend but to spice up the look you can replace your blouses and tops with long Kurtis. Long Kurtis with shararas, full palazzos and skirts will be ruling this festive season.

Silk Kurtas With Bandhani Dupatta
Nothing beats the charm of those white and cream silk kurta sets in men’s ethnic wear. Mr Husband always prefers well cut and fitted kurtas to the loose ones as it provides you with the trendy charm along with the vintage appeal. Complete your Traditional Ethnic Look with this Rich Bandhani Dupatta with some gotta lace to add that little festive bling.

STRIKE A POSE
India is the land of festivals, beginning from January to December. Amidst all wrongs and chaos, there is one thing that never shakes our willpower to grow and become better that is our undying spirit of “unity in diversity”. For it is not perfection that we seek but it’s the celebration of our strength that makes us win over our weakness. We have a place for all in our heart for we were taught that the whole world is our home. The same spirit I believe reflects in our fashion today. We have set our mark on many International platforms but we are still proudly connected to our Roots. – SauraBhavna
